Search Certification Guide Marin Tools

What is search certification?

The Search Certification course assumes basic Platform knowledge and is only available after you have successfully passed the Introductory Certification course. Search Certification introduces search best practices within the Platform and how to most effectively set up, manage, report, and optimize PPC campaigns. We reference search-related help content throughout the course to provide additional context and information. You can always access this content through the Help section for further review after the course is complete.

Search Certification includes 6 interactive chapters and 1-5 multiple choice and true/false quiz questions per chapter. The 6 chapters include:

• Building your first search campaign

• Using bulk sheets to manage campaigns

• Managing Sitelinks through the Platform

• Using the Platform’s keyword expansion

• Optimizing creatives in the Platform

You do not need to complete the entire course in one sitting. It’s possible to leave the course and rejoin where you left off.

Once you have completed the Certification you receive:

• A Search Completion Certificate
• A Search Email Signature Badge
• Membership in the Marin Software Certified LinkedIn group

You can download the Search Completion Certificate and Email Signature Badge immediately after Certification completion. We will invite you to the LinkedIn group within a month of completion.

How to use training & certification

To access the Search Certification, take the following steps:

• From the Platform Help section, click Training And Certification in the top navigation bar.

• You will be transferred to the Training & Certification area. You will see the Training & Certification Dashboard tab with the Search Certification course listed in the Current Courses sub-tab but only if you have already passed the Introductory Certification course. You can click the course from the Dashboard tab and begin Certification.
• When you start the course please read the Welcome To Search Certification PDF. The document will guide you through Certification steps, the interface and controls, and your scoring review.

How to access your Search certification once you are certified

Once you are Search certified, follow these steps to download your Certificate:

1. Click the Dashboard tab in the top navigation and then click Completed Courses.

2. At this point there will be up to three courses listed, Marin Introductory Certification, Facebook Certification, and Search Certification listed in the Completed Courses sub tab. From here you can see all courses taken and by hovering over the icons for each course you can view registration dates, completion dates, and grades.

3. Click on the award ribbon icon at the bottom right of the course to download your certificate.
