Main differences between Planner and Keyword Tool Keyword
1. While the Keyword Planner could choose between three match types (broad, exact and phrase) when obtaining the history of search volume keywords with the Keyword Planner exists only option Exact Match .
These three matches are still valid when getting traffic estimates of clicks and cost, but not for search volume.
2. Unlike the old tool, Keyword Planner provides no distinctions between different devices (desktops, tablets, mobile phones …). This makes the results obtained in the search Keyword Planner are somewhat higher than those of its predecessor, and umbrella (by half) all existing devices.
3. Instead of Global and Local Monthly Searches is now possible to search at the level of countries, regions and even cities. If we want the search to be comprehensive enough to not select any particular location.
conclusion
The Keyword Tool Planner is clearly focused invite the user to invest in Google Adwords advertising campaigns.
While this is well and you need to register with Adwords account to use it, it is also true that the tool remains completely free and has some improvements over its predecessor such as the ability to refine the search to regions and even cities.
